Join us in a walk for hope and healing at Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation’s 2nd Annual Lakeside Stroll on Saturday, January 25, 2020, 8 am to 11 am, at Tradition Square in Port St. Lucie.
Strollers from all over the Treasure Coast will walk a one-mile route around the Lake at Tradition to raise funds and awareness for Treasure Coast Hospice’s Grief Support program. The event is an opportunity for individuals and families to honor loved ones and support members of our community who are grieving through their journey of hope and healing.
Participants can contribute to a special legacy project by inscribing names and messages on strips of fabric that are being woven into a memorial tapestry. Master weaver Hollie Machen, who began the project at last year’s Lakeside Stroll, will continue working on the tapestry during the event, weaving more names and new sentiments of love and healing into the masterpiece. Participants are also encouraged to bring a photo of their loved one to place on the memory wall.
“The Lakeside Stroll is a community-oriented event where all ages can participate,” said Jacki Nardone, Director of Grief Support and Pediatric Services. “Because of fundraisers like this, Treasure Coast Hospice is able to continue to offer comfort and support services to those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.”
The Lakeside Stroll, which is presented by Aycock at Tradition/Dignity Memorial, also features an inspirational dance performance by True Crew Dance Company, kid’s activities, a pet tent, and raffles. Other sponsors include Keiser University, Remnant Construction, Martin Funeral Home and Crematory and The Estate, Trust & Elder Law Firm.
Tickets for the Lakeside Stroll are $25 for adults; $20 for a Team of 10 or more; $10 for kids 4-12, and free for children 3 and under. Registration and breakfast begin at 8:00 a.m. All walkers receive a t-shirt. Pets are also welcome.
