Since 1982, volunteers have been the heart of Treasure Coast Hospice - bringing comfort, companionship, and a moment of relief to patients and families across Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee counties. Whatever your comfort level, your skills, or your schedule, there is a way for you to help.

Patient Visitor Volunteer
Spend meaningful time with hospice patients by offering companionship, conversation, and a caring presence. Whether you're reading, listening to stories, playing games, or simply sitting together, your visits help reduce isolation and bring comfort to patients and their families.

Direct Patient Pathway
For patient visitors, comfort callers, spiritual care, 11th Hour, and VR therapy.
Standard hospice orientation, 3 to 4 hours of clinical online modules, placement interview, and supervised shadowing.- Criminal background check

Supportive Non-Clinical Pathway
For thrift, administrative, database, memory bear, and event support roles.
Abbreviated orientation and on-the-job training designed to reduce onboarding friction.- Criminal background check for most roles

For Veterans Visiting Veterans, Treasured Pets, HosPet therapy, and Volunteens.
Program-specific training, including veteran status verification or AKC Canine Good Citizen certification when required.- Role-specific verification
